The Joys of Teaching

 

It is with great affection that I teach art in my private studio.  My vision throughout life has always been to expand other's lives with the creative process. Art is a direct source to knowing and understanding  ourselves and our lives in a deeper way. 

 

The classes are small and individualized, much like a private lesson but  with other students to grow and learn from. Sometimes our projects are specific and chosen by me, the instructor. As students become more confident, they choose their own projects and compositions. With new students, I work to build confidence with drawing ability, color work and understanding composition, form, and contrast of light and shadow. 

 

Many students come to me with a love for art and a desire to create but hold a fear or concern that they cannot. My belief is that everyone can learn to draw and create. This proves itself in the studio, everyday.

 

The classes are dynamic and fun with lively discussion and focus on individual creative style and skill.  Most importantly, the classes are life enhancing.
